After Cancellation of UK Work Permit , is there any grace period??

Not sure exactly how it stands. Normally Work Permits are issued for a specific job with one employer, and are not transferrable. Your new employer would need to apply again for a work permit for you, and you would not be allowed to start working for them until it had been approved. Of course, none of this would apply if you have an HSMP visa. I think that there is a grace period after you stop working before you have to leave the country, but can’t immediately see any information about it except to contact the Home Office when your circumstances change. Try asking on http://www.immigrationboards.com Good luck.

The answer to your question is very simple. If you are on a work permit where you have a sponsor (employer who made the application), and you leave that employer, you have 28 days from the date you leave the employer to find another company who is happy to make a work permit application for you. Once the work permit has been approved you can start working with the new company immediately, and you do not have to make the FLR application for up to six months from the date of your work permit approval, or up to the date your current FLR expires, whichever is the sooner. If you find a job that does not relate to your existing work permit the potential new company must have advertised the posi

You would need to check with Immigration. I believe if you are on a work permit you are sponsored by the company that you currently work for. Once you quit they will report that they are no longer sponsoring you and you will need to leave the country. Better find out what your options are or if another company is willing to sponsor an HB1 visa and go thru the paperwork required for them to hire you. Try this website it helps with HB1 Visas and finding companies that will hire and sponsor HB1 Visas.
