Go to Control Panel, bring up MacTCP or by double-clicking it. In the box where you would see LocalTalk, InterSLIP, SLIP or PPP, ensure that only PPP is chosen instead of others. Some MacTCP may have automatically chosen InterSLIP and SLIP with PPP, so just click on some others till only PPP is the only selected choice. After the selection, restart your computer. For any changes made in MacTCP, you must restart the computer in order for the changes to take effect. | TOP | Question: Netscape says it cannot find www.pacific.net.au (or something else) but I can get email to work! (applicable to Macs only) Answer: Your Netscape probably got confused: Quit Netscape. Go into the System Folder, Preferences and locate the Netscape Folder. Find the file called Netscape Preferences and trash it. If that doesnt work, do a more drastic clean-up: If you have a valuable list of bookmarks, take this file (bookmarks.html) out and save it outside. Now, trash the entire Netscape Folder.
