Affion, how do you keep up with the Wayans family and all their joking around?
Is it intimidating? Crockett. No, we’re all the same. I went to the Wayans school of comedy, I feel like, along with Eddie Murphy, Jim Carrey. I studied all the guys who made me laugh. They [the Wayans family members] keep me in check. Marlon: Affion’s a funny dude. We originally cast him in a pilot we did … called “Felony,” for VH1, and he was hilarious. We watched him in Nick Cannon’s show “Wild ’N Out,” and he really stood out. He’s a talented impressionist. [He says to Crockett] Do Russell [Simmons]. [Crockett does a Russell Simmons impersonation.] Marlon: Some people just do impressions. Affion does impressions with jokes. He understands jokes, and that’s what makes him special. [He says jokingly] Plus, he’s got that little retarded look.
