Advanced A. What is different between the first and second generations?
1. The Special stat was split into Special Attack and Special Defense. In addition, the item, Zinc, was created to raise Special Defense, since Calcium was changed to raise Special Attack. 2. One hundred new Pokemon were added. Many new moves have been added as well. 3. Two new Pokemon types were created in the second generation: Dark and Steel. 4. The TM’s were altered in the second generation and more HM’s were added. 5. Pokemon genders were introduced in the second generation 6. Breeding was introduced in the second generation. 7. Playable female trainers were added late in the second generation and have been a standard part of the games since then.
