They need to do both. Send copies of signature pages to the DAC shortly after the trainings. It is recommended that you have your staff read the administration code in the fall, and then hold a faculty meeting in which you go over some of the key points with them and have them sign the code. In that meeting, place the emphasis of your discussion on the year-long CATS issues that apply to daily classroom work. They should sign a dated sheet which indicates that they have read and been trained on the Administration Code. Make sure that the faculty have adequate time to read the Code and that they understand what that signature means – it is verifying that they have read it and do understand it. In the SPRING, have the faculty watch and discuss the ethics video and sign a sheet indicating that they have done so.
