According to which method is one to tie?

The reason for all the various tying methods is due to the paucity of tying instruction in the Gemara. There are only about five statements which describe specifically how to tie – and all of the methods answer to these descriptions (see B. Sterman, www.tekhelet.com/guide.htm). R. H. Schachter holds that everyone (Ashkenazim and Sefaradim) should tie according to the Rambam because he has the oldest tradition.
