According to Quran, Hadith and other Islamic teachings, How is a Muslim supposed to treat non-Muslims?
We are supposed to respect and treat justly those that do not fight us, kick us out of our homes, or oppress us regarding our religion. Those that wish to fight, we are allowed to fight. Those that wish peace, we are required to be at peace with. Ismail, look at my links. Again you are trying to say hate the disbelievers. In fact, I will just post it so you can read a fatwa! Read the first two sentences, Ismail. You are misguided by the shaytaan! The Muslim is taught by his book, the Qur’ân, to hate falsehood, distorted beliefs, and deviance, and consequently, to hate the representation of falsehood and deviant beliefs at the hands of the unbelievers. He does not, however, hate the people themselves. In fact, he should wish for them every possible good and hope that they will attain guidance and be saved from the Hellfire. When one of the unbelievers attains guidance, the Muslim should be as joyous for his sake as our Prophet (peace be upon him) was when a Jewish boy converted to Islam
Well the Quran in the most credible source for any behavior. It states that if a non-Muslim party wishes to make peace, make peace with them, for God does not love the aggressor. It states to take care of non-Muslims under Muslim rule, and states that they should pay a reasonable tax so support the army, which in turn will protect them without having them fight in the army. This is why a lot of Christian lands willingly accepted the protection of the Muslim Empire during the “Dark Ages” in Europe, when there was no government stability within Europe. If you look at Spain, India, and the Middle East when Muslim Empires where thriving, for the most part, they were incredible productive societies. They were the center of religion, political, scientific, and economic thought in the world. They were the only places that people were able to freely worship. Often at times, these places would have group centers where all faiths would worship together. There are of course exceptions to this wit
