Accelerated Reader is a point incentive program for reading. Student can earn points for taking tests on books that are labeled AR. I require students to read and pass 2 AR test a month. Other than that, they are welcome to read books that are not AR. I do not require that the kids only read AR books, because I believe there are many wonderful books out there that aren’t AR and they would be missing out on them.
