About Nightcrawler, when and how did he become an ordained minister?
Answer Hello Kevin: Welcome back to the world of Marvel. I wish I had a really good answer for your question, but well we are dealing with Marvel, and no matter how much I really like their stuff…they are the kings of plot holes. The opening page to X-Men #100 showed Nightcrawler as a priest. This was a dramatic change from his life as an X-Man. It is not without precedent, however. Nightcrawler has always been deeply religious, and on occasion mentioned the desire to become a priest. His duties as an X-Man generally kept him from the calling. Yet, here he was studying to become a priest. What events lead to this decision?…well, in part a lot of it had to do with the death of Peter. When he died, Nightcrawler left, *bamf*, back and he is a priest…the hows and the why’s are still up in the air. Only speculation.
