About how much does it cost to be in a sorority?
When you are going through rush, make sure you ask this question. As a recent alumna of a sorority, we prepare for rush by asking each other questions PNMs (potential new members) may ask us. A big part of that is financial questions. When I went through rush I couldn’t afford it, but I voiced my concern about it and found out that almost all of the sororities on my campus has payment plans. In this way, I set up a plan with thr treasurer so I could space out payments instead of having to pay in one big lump sum. As the previous post said, there are other fees besides dues. There are initiation fees, housing fees, etc. But again, all of these I dealt with through a payment plan. Good luck and make sure to ask lots of questions!!!
