About how long does it take kittens to reach their full size?

I got a small Tuxedo kitten in 2000 that was about 4 mos old when we rescued it. It weighed in at about 2 lbs and was very undernourished. Now she is 8 years old and just recently has stopped growing. It is about 10lb and almost looks like a full grown cat!
