About 50% of marriages fail. What percentage of Christian marriages fail, and why do you think that number differs?
…there is a lower divorce rate within Christian groups than others. The only reason I can see why a “Christian” couple might have a lesser chance of divorce is that, if they are active in a church, some churches offer classes and seminars on how to succeed in marriage, rather like offering marriage counseling before you need it. However, in reality this does not seem to be the case and many churches are not supportive of their members whose marriages are failing. A recent study by the Barna Research Group based on interviews with 3,854 adults from the 48 contiguous states found that: 1) 11% of the adult population in the US is currently divorced. . 2) 25% of adults have had at least one divorce during their lifetime. . 3) Divorce rates among conservative Christians were significantly higher than for other faith groups, and much higher than Atheists and Agnostics experience.
