Ans.: The GIST printer port is not like a normal printer port found on the PCs. So the software key must not be connected to the GIST printer port. Almost every software that uses such a key, does a direct read-write to the printer port. Hence, the key must be connected to the same printer adapter card where it would have been connected if the GIST card were not there.
