A newly appointed faculty member is unable to begin work on the previously agreed upon start date. How do I go about changing the start date and what are the ramifications of doing so?
In order to change a start date, you should contact your HRSC Generalist who will initiate the process for you. A change in the start date may impact the new hire’s benefit eligibility and effective dates as well as his/her first pay date. New hire paperwork must be completed within 3 days following the new start date.
