Fire hydrants do occasionally get hit by cars and damaged, many times resulting in large quantities of water overwhelming local storm drains. If this is to occur first make sure you are safely away from the flooded area and accident, then contact the City Water Division at 774-5750 during regular business hours or (800) 263-1624 for after hours.
