A bulb in my new 250w Outer Orbit will not come on-what is the problem?
Most problems associated with the HQI lamp not coming on are associated with the bulb itself or the power supply to the fixture. Check the bulb itself for any noticeable damage-if none is noticed try re-installing the bulb into the socket, making sure it is firmly seated. Make sure that the power supply for the fixture is plugged directly into an outlet, not into a power strip or extension cord, as these can reduce the voltage to the unit preventing the unit from starting up. If the bulb still does not work, try using a different bulb from the fixture (if available) or contact your dealer for a replacement bulb-slight damage to the bulb during shipping may have occured. If a new bulb will still not function, please contact your dealer as the ballast or fixture may be the issue.
