Donna J. Erickson has owned A Flair For Writing (www.aflairforwriting.com), a professional writing/editing service, for more than 20 years. During this time, she has worked as a feature writer, resume writer and instructor, copywriter, and editor. Her background includes working as a staff writer for South Shore News, Mariner Publications, and the South Shore Baby Journal. She has also freelanced for local, national, and international publications.
Erickson has been published on the Internet on authors’ sites, such as Hubpages.com and Ezinearticles.com. She was listed in the Marquis Who’s Who of American Woman, 2007 – 2008; Who’s Who in America, 2009, 2010; Who’s Who in the World, 2009, 2010; has received an Award for Excellence from Riverside Publishing, and an Over the Top Blog Award from Creative Chronicles. Articles about her company have been featured in The Patriot Ledger, The Enterprise, and Mariner Newspapers. She has been a radio guest on the nationally syndicated program, Dresser After Dark with Mike Dresser, blogtalkradio’s Conversations Live! and on WMSX-AM. In addition, she has been co-founder and board member for the South Shore Ad Club and has worked as Marketing Coordinator in charge of creative services.
In 2007, entertainer Jaisun McMillian hired Erickson to edit her book, Behind Closed Doors. A year later, AG Press, located in Townsend, MA, hired her as a contracted editor. She was promoted to Senior Editor/Copartner and has edited 6 more published books. In addition, she wrote and self-published her first book, No-Hassle Publishing: An Author’s Guide to Today’s Changing Industry. She recently launched a subsidiary, A Flair For Writing – Publishing Services, for authors who are self-publishing. Erickson’s goal is to grow her company as a virtual writing, editing, and self-publishing business.
