Assist the VP/Deputy General Counsel and several loan officers in litigation involving commercial mortgages. Skills include: • Processing, scanning, routing, logging and tracking incoming summons and complaints (for the bank and all subsidiaries); • Responding to subpoenas regarding commercial loans; • Creating reports (in MS Word and Excel) and populating them with information from my research; • Taking minutes at Litigation Committee meetings, and typing and formatting them using MS Word; • Processing legal invoices; • Serving as Paralegal on one large litigation file handled in-house; • Coordinating travel arrangements; • Assisting other departments, as needed, with foreclosures, REO, and residential mortgage processing; identifying correct parties on “unidentified” mail using PACER (for bankruptcies) and our in-house databases (e.g., Fiserv); • Editing the in-house manuals for the entire bank and its subsidiaries using InDesign; and • Westlaw research.
