What are the bad things of vivisection?
Vivisection is incredibly cruel and it really doesn’t serve much of an academic purpose. True, you get to see the heart pumping and the bowels moving…so what? Is that really worth the torture and killing of an animal? You can see the sme thing if you view an open heart surgery…so why not just arrange operating room visits. The idea that seeing a heart pump is going to make you a better doctor is laughable. You can’t learn surgery or physiology by watching 30 minutes of vivisection. There are plenty of valid reasons to do medical experiments on animals but vivisection is just sadism dressed in the clothes of respectable science. It has no place in medical education.
