What are Navigation Territories?
Navigation territories are specific waters as defined by geographic points. Typical navigation areas include Inland lakes and rivers; Chesapeake Bay; Atlantic, Pacific or Gulf of Mexico Coastal Waters Not Exceeding 15 or 150 Nautical Miles Offshore; Long Island Sound; and the Bahamas. Boat owners select the territories in which they choose to operate their boats and rates are set accordingly. Endorsements are available for trips outside the policyholder’s normal area of operation.
