I believe that Mary found favour in the eyes of God, she was of the line of David and probably very God fearing. Christ would respect and honour his father and mother, unless it was contrary to the will of God and they taught Him wrong. As He always did what was pleasing to God, and I believe that Mary and Joseph were just like us, who also believed that Christ is Lord and Saviour of mankind.
