What is a turbo engine?

well i don’t know all the technical names but… a regular engine pretty much creates chemical reaction that creates energy then uses the energy it creates briefly then gets rid of everything else, however the exhaust still has some “energy” in it so what a turbo engine does is take the still fueled exhaust, gets enough to build it up then begins to pump it back into the engine, so your car will go faster, turbo engines give you “free horse-power”. when you accelerate it shouldn’t always go right away, then all of a sudden you will take off and FLY!! very exciting. have fun with it.

A turbo uses your exhaust gases and compress it back into the cylinder.

Turbochargers are basically fans……your exhaust spins these fan blades as it comes out….the fans then force air into your engine along with the vacuum of the engine itself. There are a lot of other things like boost ratio’s and wastegates. But basically, a turbo increases horsepower by ramming air into the engine. A super charger does the same thing, but is usually belt driven.
