The dose is injected just under the skin in the stomach. The 3.6 mg dose is injected every 28 days while the 10.8mg dose is injected every 12 weeks. Zoladex Side Effects Zoladex causes an increase in bone pain and symptoms of prostatic cancer during the first few weeks of treatment. As your body adjusts to the medication, the symptoms will disappear. Zoladex may cause hot flashes, headache, stomach upset, difficulty urinating, weight gain, swelling and tenderness of breasts, decreased erections, reduced sexual desire.
