How does Norvasc work?
As a calcium channel blocker that has been approved by the FDA, amlodipine besylate goes to work in the arteries and blood vessels. It blocks calcium in the channels through which it gets drained. This treatment effect allows arteries and blood vessels to relax and make space for better blood flow. An increased blood flow results in less work for the heart, which in turn starts functioning better.
