The anniversary of Sal Minio’s death is near—FEB 12th—- cut down in his youth. Sal Minio died in 1976 Bicentennial year! He was murdered in an alley off Sunset in West Hollywood over by Orange ave. I think. I went to school with him, he was very flashy! Wore long scarves around his neck and drove a convertible we went to Hollywood Children’s professional School on Hollywood Blvd. He got started in a play in 1950 that Burt Lancaster starred in as a movie later 1955~~Weird huh? based on the play “the rose tattoo” Anyway Sal was a wild child!Those were the Whiskey-a-g0-g0 days up on the strip and Yellow Submarine on Santa Monica. I would see him take Patty McCormick (child star,”bad seed”) (she went to school at Hollywood Profs. too,) and take off in that convertible at lunch!! Burt Lancaster died in 1994 Great actor! So sexy he was! In the Rose Tattoo with Anna Magnanani in 1955 before my time but made such an impression! Cool!
