Who is Justin Bieber?
Much like the mythical Carmen Sandiego, we have an individual who is famous and has a path to megastar pop status to those in the industry, but to the average fan we’re clueless as to who this boy is? The legend began 2 years ago back home in Stratford Ontario, 12 year old Justin had placed 2nd in a local singing contest. It was his mother’s suggestion that he put videos of him singing on YouTube to show relatives around the world. Great idea mom, but it seems the girls of the world seemed to tune into his YouTube channel as well. At last count, over 200,000 subscribers, 6.5 million channel views, over 50 million views to his YouTube videos, and most importantly he is the #1 most subscribed musician in Canada (all time) and #2 most subscribed channel in Canada. His numbers were just a pre-cursor to the bidding war between Usher and Justin Timberlake for Justin Bieber signed to their labels. Justin Bieber comes with an automatic female pre-teen/teen fanbase that is itching for new songs
