What is a TraceRT Report?
When an “availability” or “timeout” problem is detected, a TraceRT report may help diagnose the nature of the connectivity issue. A TraceRT report is similar to Ping’s, but contains more detailed information. It shows the path between our monitoring engine and your server, and the access speed to the intermediate nodes. This information may be particularly useful in understanding the cause of recurring “timeout” errors, and in diagnosing connectivity problems revealed by negative Ping results. It will also show DNS issues. Please note that TraceRT will not work when ICMP packets are blocked. For more information about TraceRT, click here. To activate the TraceRT Report feature, login to your account, go to the Visiting Options page, select “Yes” in the field Do TraceRT on error, and click Save.
