Why is peer editing necessary?
Peer editing provides the student with feedback from other people besides the instructor. It also gives students a chance to practice their editing skills as well as assist their classmates in revising content of their papers. Finally, peer editing also teaches students the appropriate way to provide and receive constructive criticism, a valuable skill they can take with them upon graduation.
