How and who determines the Technology content area and GLO grade?
NOTE: 2005-06 was the last year Educational Technology appeared as a content area in the elementary grades. With HCPS III, it is subsumed under the GLOs and other content areas. Grading is school-determined because implementation varies from school to school. Elementary Schools might consider the following depending on how technology is taught at the school. If computer classes are being taught by a technology coordinator/computer teacher, that teacher should grade the student and provide the grade to the homeroom teacher for the report card. (content area) If technology is infused in the curriculum that is taught by several subject area teachers, those teachers should determine a GLO rating collaboratively.
