What is a silk screened label?
A silk screened label is a high quality label which is painted onto the disc one color at a time. A silk screen is produced for each color. Each screen is used to apply a paint color to the disc by “screening” those portions of the disc where none of that particular color is to be allowed, while allowing the paint to cover those areas that are not being screened. Graphic artists will often incorporate the bare color of the CD (usually silver) into their design.
