Are electronic dog fences allowed?
The Village does not regulate electronic/invisible dog fences. However, they may not be installed in the public right-of-way. Residents with such fences are encouraged to post a sign on the front lawn warning passersby that the dog is restrained by an electronic fence. The installer usually provides such a sign. Electronic dog fences installed in the public right-of-way will not be repaired by the Village if they are damaged by the Village.
