What is a VeriSign Security Key?
The VeriSign Security Key creates random temporary security codes that help add a second layer of security to the WaterISAC portal. You may use one of two types for access to WaterISAC, each with different advantages: • New! Mobile phone security key: VeriSign provides a credential application on your mobile phone that creates a security code for you every 30 seconds. You can download a mobile security key immediately upon approval of your account if you have a supported phone and carrier. • Security key token: This version is an electronic device – or “token” – designed to be carried on a key ring. It creates a security code for you every 30-60 seconds. Electronic tokens are sent by US mail, and take 5 – 7 days to arrive after approval of your account.
