How does SAI Platform take into account international norms and regulations?
The Platform fully supports international norms and regulations established under the various United Nations organisations. It is particularly committed to the International Labor Organisation (ILO) Convention 138 on the Minimum Age for Employment and the ILO Convention 182 on the Worst Forms of Child Labor. In addition, a number of member companies have endorsed the Global Compact – a set of genuinely universal principles for living and working in society, addressing human rights, labor standards and environmental practices – and refer to it in their own business principles.
