Are alcohol-caffeine drinks dangerous?

Yes, currently there is a government discussion to put warning labels on alcohol-caffeine drinks. State attorney generals and health-advocacy groups are lobbying for the labels. These drinks carry health or safety risks since the caffeine stimulant masks the feelings of drunkenness and effects of alcohol as a depressant. Drinkers may be lead to drive under the influence or other acts while intoxicated.

Research shows these drinks increase the risk of alcohol-related injuries, but drink manufacturers are trying to disprove this claim.
