A “surcharge fee” is a fee charged to you by the owner of an ATM that is not in the Direct Express&reg card ATM surcharge-free network when you use the owner’s ATM to withdraw cash. When you use your card at an ATM that will charge you a surcharge fee, the ATM will tell you the amount of the fee before you withdraw your money. The surcharge fee is charged to you in addition to any fee that Comerica Bank may charge when you use the Direct Express&reg card to withdraw cash at an ATM (see question 3.1 above for information about fees). Neither Treasury nor Comerica Bank have any control over what the ATM owner will charge you.
