American Civilization is the ultimate liberal arts degree. The American Civilization department gives students a framework and context into which to fit courses while working with AmCiv faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates and those from other departments and Centers. Concentrators in American Civilization study the diverse cultures, groups, and experiences that make up American life.
