What is a Positional open MRI?

0

As its name implies, the Positional open MRI is a specially configured MRI machine which allows images to be taken in any position that the patient deems comfortable or his/her doctor considers necessary to better view and subsequently define the problem (i.e. standing, bending forward, bending backward, sitting or lying down). This is the most convenient method of doing MRI – claustrophobic or not – the patient may walk in, stand, or sit during the scan, then walk out.
