How long does a field hockey game go for?
A Field Hockey game has two halves. Each one is 20-35 minutes long. Depending on Compatition rules, If the game is tied, their is extra time added which could consist of two 10minutes halves or just one half, if the score is still tied the the game is set to penalty strokes where 5 players from each team take alternate turns to score a goal from the penalty spot against the goalkeeper. if scores are still tied after the 10 strokes (5 from each team) then the game is set to sudden death penalty strokes first team to miss a goal loses.
