Who founded AGRA and who funds AGRA?
AGRA was established in September 2006 with initial support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and the Rockefeller Foundation (RF). The United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) joined as a funding partner in 2008. We continue to mobilize additional resources for AGRA and for the attainment of an African Green Revolution. We are confident of securing further funding and companion initiatives both within Africa and globally, among public and private sector organizations and foundations, as well as from major multilateral and bilateral organisations.
