Why is Shakespeare known as the Bard?

0

In the Celtic mythos, a Bard is a form of druid. S/He is a teller of stories. A singer of songs. A weaver of worlds. Shakespeare fits all these descriptions. His ability to tell (in verse, prose, and dialogue) a story is incredible. He is the origin of dozens of expressions we use on a daily basis. He even created words themselves. While he was writing, he found a need for words that didn’t exist. So he just created them. If anyone deserves the title of “The Bard,” it would be William Shakespeare. Quill.
