What does the term “pincore” mean?
All manufactured latex is formed using either a pouring or injection molding process. Within the mold, hundreds of small steel pins point upward, and the latex is poured around these pins. The end result is a mattress with hundreds of small holes which penetrate through the entire surface. These holes provide added flexibility to the material, provide ventilation, and prevent the mattress from tearing if rolled or folded. They also affect the feel of the mattress, helping to make the material more pliable and softer.
