1. The basic divan is constructed from top quality timber, which is glued and screwed together to provide strength, durability and rigidity. 2. The springs are overlaid with a sheet of hessian (or similar) to provide a foundation material. Layers of upholstery are then added. 3. The pre-sewn ticking case is then added with a high-quality calico (or similar) cover on the underside of the frame to help prevent entry of dust. 4. Headboard bolts and fitted and castors are inserted into solid corner blocks.
