What is Domotics?
Domotics, also known as home automation, is the technology used for the intergration of the electronics and IT in a building. All electronics connected to the system can be controlled from a central point. You could for example flip a single switch to turn on multiple lights or pull down the blinds with a remote control. In addition you can set up certain ‘atmospheres’ which can be activated by pressing one single button. You will thus no longer need to walk through the whole house to switch off all the lights, or to put on the atmospheric lighting. It is also possible to configure the system in such a way that it responds to changes in the environment: the system will registrate the night-time and gradually switch on certain lights, or when the sun breaks through on a summer’s day, the sunblinds will automatically be lowered.
