What is BODY WORLDS 3?
It is the original exhibition created by Dr. Gunther von Hagens where visitors learn about anatomy, physiology and health by viewing real human bodies, preserved through a process called Plastination. The exhibition features over 200 authentic human specimens, some never-before-seen. All seven human body systems will be addressed, including: • The Locomotive System • The Nervous System • The Cardiovascular System • The Digestive System • The Kidneys and Urinary Tract • The Reproductive Organs • Prenatal DevelopmentThe exhibition also allows for visitors to better understand diseases, the effects of tobacco consumption and use of artificial supports such as knees and hips by viewing entire bodies as well as individual organs and transparent body slices.
