• Answer: Logical Unit Numbers are a method available in SCSI to considerably expand the number of peripheral devices that can be attached to a SCSI bus. In fact, on a Narrow bus it can expand the number of devices on each address by a factor of seven and by fifteen on a Wide bus! Except for RAID systems, LUNs are not widely used.
