If, for example, you have paediatricians who work across children’s and neonatal services, please just divide the whole time equivalent (wte) across the different services. In other words, if the paediatricians work across four or five service areas, simply divide the wte by the number of areas. There is no need to try and work out the wte to the exact proportion of time spent in each area. If staff roughly work 60% in one service and 40% in another, then simply divide the wte that way.
