Applying for advanced parole?

0

I was in the same situation. I came to the US on a B1/B2 visa and adjusted to H1B without leaving the USA. To my knowledge, being here on H1B status, you don’t qualify for advanced parole, that is only open to people who are adjusting status, for example, if you were adjusting from an H1B to a green card holder. If you want to leave the country you would have to apply for the physical H1B visa at a foreign embassy where-ever you are visiting. I wanted to do the same thing (I am from the UK) And whilst, if you already have H1B status here, there shouldn’t be a problem getting the visa issued abroad, there is always a chance of something going wrong. I was here for 5 straight years, but I have since married my husband, who is an American citizen, and now I am an LPR. So you have 2 choices, leave the US and apply for the physical H1B visa whilst you are out of the country, or wait for your company to sponsor you for the green card, which could be a lengthy process, don’t forget, adjusting
