CE 6, formerly WebCT, is a courseware product that provides a virtual classroom where students and instructors can meet. It utilizes tools for supporting best teaching and learning practices. Some tools, for example, that may be used are a discussion board instead of a whiteboard or email, and/or chat rooms instead of on-campus communication. Note: not all online courses use CE 6. Some may use a publisher’s site, MyGateway “site studio” courseware, etc.
