How do I get ResNet?

If you are living in an on-campus residence hall you have access to ResNet by simply plugging in a networked capable computer into a network jack in your resident hall room. When you open a browser you will be directed to the ResNet Registration (Cisco’s Clean Access) page. Once you enter your Cornell-provided username and password your computer will be checked to be sure you are current on your virus protection and Windows security patches. If you are current, you will be connected to the Cornell network. If you are not current, you will be directed to a web page where you can get the latest McAfee virus protection and Windows security patch.

As of Spring 2004 all data jacks in the residence halls have been activated. All you have to do is connect your computer, install Cisco Clean Access and follow all prompts. View our PDF guide to getting connected in the dorms.
