The Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) is a general education pattern, which community college transfer students can use to fulfill lower-division general education requirements in either the CSU or UC systems. All courses must be completed with a grade of C or better. The IGETC can be certified and meet the general education requirements to the transferring institution after all disciplines have been complete. IGETC is not appropriate for all majors and student should see a counselor for details.
